A couple of really terrific books that make good complements to Organic, Inc. include:
- The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan
- Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver

Michael Pollan delves deeply into the ethics of eating meat. He explores meat from factory farming, large organic farming, small organic farming, and hunting.

Barbara Kingsolver and her family spend a year eating locally. Because they live in Virginia, it is really local to us. While I admire their efforts and accomplishments, I am not persuaded that I want to spend that much time in the kitchen, preserving food while it is in season.
