July 28, 2025 - Turning to Stone: Discovering the Subtle Wisdom of Rocks, by Marcia Bjornerud
I was delighted to read on page 164 how a prominent Yale professor reacted vehemently to the author's mention of the idea of Gaia. "Such pseudoscience has no place in my work!" In my novel, Gaia's Resurrection, there is a scene in which Maggie suffers similar ridicule from her geology professor in response to her essay about the Gaia Hypothesis. Maggie, like Bjornerud, wondered what was so threatening.
